SOY AND USDA'S MYPLATE
USDA released the new MyPlate food icon intended to remind Americans to make healthier food choices and to think about building
a healthy plate at meal times. MyPlate emphasizes the fruit, vegetable, grains, protein and dairy groups. This system recognizes
soyfoods as healthful choices in several categories including vegetables, protein and dairy. And, while oils are not a food group,
soybean oil is recognized as a healthier source of fat that provides essential nutrients. Learn more about how soy fits into the MyPlate
