The 11th annual Soy Symposium will be held October 8-10, 2003 at the DoubleTree Guest Suites Hotel just two blocks east of the Magnificent Mile in Chicago. The event will begin at noon on Wednesday and end at noon on Friday.

The United Soybean Board (USB) and the Soyfoods Association of North America (SANA) co-sponsor this informative event. The Soy Symposium is designed especially for individuals involved in marketing research, product development, nutritional research, and new business development at food companies worldwide.

Notable attendees at last year’s event include Archer Daniels Midland, DuPont Protein Technologies, Kraft Foods, Monsanto Company, PepsiCo, and many others. International attendees came from around the world, including Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Korea, and the Philippines.

“The soyfoods industry is exploding with new developments,” said Janice Peterson, chairman of the USB’s Domestic Marketing Committee. “The Soy Symposium provides the perfect forum for addressing the many new issues affecting the industry. Attendees of the event will benefit greatly from not only the sessions, but the networking opportunities, too.”

The Soy Symposium will highlight a keynote address on worldwide trends in soyfoods, plus a report on the 5th Annual International Symposium on Soy and Chronic Disease. Other important topics, such as U.S. consumer purchase decisions and future trends, will also be covered.

Peter Goblitz, president and publisher of Soyatech, Inc., is among the many speakers to be featured at the event. He will provide an update on soyfood sales trends in 2003.

“This is the most cost-effective and information-packed event of its kind,” notes Roger Kilburn, SANA. Early bird registration is just $495 and group rates are available.

An exhibit area will be featured at the Soy Symposium. Companies interested in showcasing their products and services will be able to do so. For those interested in more information or registering online, visit www.talksoy.com/soysymposium.
