Miso Matcha Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup + 2 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 Tbsp matcha powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp white miso paste
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease. In a medium-sized bowl, mix your dry ingredients – flour, baking soda, and matcha powder. Set aside.
- In a stand mixer, or with a hand mixer, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, miso paste, vanilla extract, and the egg. Mix until light and fluffy, about 1 minute.
- Add your dry ingredients to the mixer at a low mixing setting, a bit at a time, until fully combined. Be careful not to over-mix.
- Stir in chocolate chips by hand. Using a cookie or ice cream scoop, measure out 8 cookies onto your baking sheet. Chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes before baking.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly browned. Remove from oven and let cool 10–15 minutes before serving.
